Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Assistant Manager – Renewable Energy to join our growing Clean Energy team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy technologies spanning Rooftop Solar, Agrivoltaics (AgriPV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and more.

Responsibilities

1. Project Management & Technical Research

• Conduct research and analysis on renewable energy policies, regulations, market mechanisms, and electricity sector reforms.
• Lead and support implementation of renewable energy technologies.
• Analyse implementation challenges and recommend practical policy and technical solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, policy briefs, presentations, and other knowledge products.

2. Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with government departments, DISCOMs, regulators, nodal agencies, and industry stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, consultations, and capacity-building programmes.
• Represent Vasudha Foundation at conferences, technical forums, and stakeholder consultations.

3. Capacity Building

• Develop training material on renewable energy technologies and policies.
• Design and deliver training programmes for key stakeholders.

4. Field Implementation

• Undertake field visits across Odisha and other states to monitor project implementation, conduct surveys, and engage with communities.

5. Innovation & Business Development

• Contribute new project ideas, research proposals, and funding opportunities.
• Support development of innovative concepts in clean energy space.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy Studies, Renewable Energy, Environmental Sciences, Power Systems, or Development Studies.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in renewable energy or the power sector.

Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding of renewable energy policies and electricity sector regulations.
• Deep understanding of various RE typologies like AgriPV, FPV, BiPV etc.
• Knowledge of power distribution, power markets, DISCOM operations, and energy transition.
• Experience in renewable energy project implementation.
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Willingness to travel extensively for field assignments.
