Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Full Stack Developer who is proficient in both front-end and back-end development. The person will also be responsible for the management of the entire software development process: conception, design, testing and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design new web applications, decision support tools, dashboards and web-based platforms for the climate and energy teams of Vasudha Foundation.
• Design responsive user interfaces and interactive platforms to visually communicate climate and energy research as part of front-end development. 
• Write effective APIs, functional requirement documents, user guides and codes. 
• Run unit tests, troubleshoot, debug code, fix bugs, create mockups, demos and prototypes which can be scaled up and replicated.
• Build and maintain scalable end-to-end web applications and analytics dashboards to handle extensive data and complex databases in the energy and climate sector.
• Create robust server-side logic and structured APIs for seamless data exchange.
• Create systems for data handling, queries, data warehousing and integration.
• Maintain and update various web dashboards, including the Vasudha Foundation portal.
• Provide support in applications developed for the Finance and HR teams.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technology field with extensive programming experience.
• 5-8 years of software development experience is necessary.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, Leaflet, Bootstrap and API integration.
• Strong knowledge of Angular, Amber, and React.js.
• Understanding of prototype design and UX/UI best practices.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, TypeScript and C#.
• Experience working with database technology such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Github or Bitbucket is preferred.
• Familiarity with server environment and web services such as Spring Boot, MyBatis, Hibernate, Node.js, .NET, Django, and FastAPI.
• Familiarity with cloud and operating infrastructure on platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities are necessary.
