This meeting aimed to explore the meaning of “equitable access to sustainable development” in the context of urgency based on climate science, and what actions and solutions are required to save both planet and the sustainable development rights of the poor. Exploring ways to break “South-North” trust deficit amongst civil society groups and movements on the key issue of “Common but Differentiated Responsibility and Respective Capability”, (a much talked of principle of the United Nations Frame Work Convention on Climate Change) and with the aim of finding a common ground for progressive and collective climate action.
