Job description
We are looking for an Assistant GIS officer/Analyst with an exposure to Basic to Intermediate GIS concepts and Analytic skills to undertake following tasks with GIS team, such as

– Digitisation, editing and Spatial Data Analysis with Proprietary and or opensource GIS software.
– Creating necessary GIS inputs and maintain the GIS database as per the project requirements.
– Perform digital Image Processing for Image Classification of Satellite Imageries/remote sensing data to derive meaningful information and results.
– Create map layouts, Reports and document procedures as per project requirements.

Key Skills

• Experience with mapping tools such as ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, QGIS.
• Proficiency with MS office especially Excel and other database tools i.e. Post GIS.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as ArcPy, R or Python.
• Experience of working in MSS and SAR satellite data and GPS data collection.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.

Qualification & Experience:

Postgraduate in GIS/Geoinformatics/geography or related discipline with a minimum professional/research experience of 2 years.
