Job Description

• Support Vasudha Foundation’s work in Uttar Pradesh that includes but is not limited to research and analysis of policies and regulatory issues in the Electric Mobility/ Charging Infrastructure space.
• Coordinate with the State nodal agency and function as Vasudha Foundation’s point person in implementing the project based in Lucknow.
• Take ownership of activities and independently handle requirements from the nodal department related to the scope of work with Vasudha Foundation. 
• Ensure systematic capture of data about progress for internal reporting purposes.

Research and Writing

• Understand and keep tabs on electric mobility/ Charging Infra-related regulations and State-level EV policies.
• Analyse large and high-frequency datasets to draw useful insights for the team and other stakeholders.
• Assist in the stakeholder engagement strategy, identifying and prioritizing key external stakeholders like government representatives, NGOs, consumer associations, knowledge partners, etc.
• Undertake Intra-State travel to conduct interviews, collect data, and other engagements as required by the project.
• Generate knowledge content through blogs and policy briefs and prepare presentations, fact sheets, and other research communication material.

Networking

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key project stakeholders including Government Departments/ Ministries/Agencies, local administration, CSOs, NGOs, and academia, as per project requirements.
• Regular interaction with key stakeholders (including industry and community) directly or indirectly for data collection.

Meetings & Conferences

• Coordinating with Vasudha’s headquarters and local stakeholders to organize meetings and conferences as per project requirement.
• Participate and create meeting briefs, press releases, etc.
• Provide support in stakeholder engagement through field visits, community engagement, and focus group discussions.

Applicant Profile

• Minimum requirements:
  • Work Experience:
    • Policy Officer– 1– 2 years (with at least 1 year of relevant experience in the e-mobility/Charging Infra sector)
    • Senior Policy Officer– 3– 5 years (with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the e-mobility /Charging Infra sector)
  • Professional Background: Masters in Engineering/ Public Policy/Environmental Sciences with relevant experience 
  • Candidate must be able to work well in a team and have good communication skills
  • Candidate must have good analytical skills (experience with techno-economic analysis) and data handling capability.
• Desirable qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with government departments 
  • Project experience related to Charging Infra.
