Vasudha Foundation, in collaboration with Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation, organised a convening on ‘Driving Equality: Gender Mainstreaming in the Transition from ICE Vehicles to EVs’ on Tuesday, 29 October 2025 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Sheraton Hotel, Saket, New Delhi.

The workshop brought together various stakeholders representing the government, industry, research and civil society, to discuss and explore pathways for integrating gender considerations into India’s electric mobility transition. The aim of the convening was to highlight women’s participation across the EV value chain and discuss the opportunities and requirements to ensure an inclusive and equitable energy transition in the mobility sector.

The event featured a powerful plenary session with high-level addresses followed by the launch of a comprehensive report and white paper on gender mainstreaming in EVs, panel discussions on women’s participation in the mobility ecosystem, and inspiring fireside chats with women entrepreneurs and drivers working on the ground.
