Vasudha Foundation, along with various State Nodal Agencies, have been conducting Vendor Training programmes across the country for Rooftop Solar PV vendors, under PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

These training programmes have sessions focused on:

• Providing in-depth technical knowledge of solar PV system components
• Explaining PM-Surya Ghar guidelines and state-specific regulations
• Practical training in leading software tools like PVsyst, Google Earth Pro, Sun Path Assessment, and Google Sketchup
• Sharing best practices and strategies for effective customer acquisition using technology
• Facilitating real-time Q&A sessions with DISCOM officials for on-ground issue resolution

This initiative marks a significant step in enhancing vendor capacity and building a robust rooftop solar ecosystem in the country. Such trainings aid RTPV vendor’s skill set to install a rooftop solar PV plant adhering to the standards as set by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), leading to a long life of the system. Given the vendor rating programme being rolled out by MNRE, this shall help vendors to fare well during physical inspection of the system by the Implementing Agencies as well. With trainings reaching over 5,000 participants across Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Punjab, Vasudha Foundation continues to advance the clean energy transition by strengthening knowledge, building skills, and enabling effective on-ground implementation.
