Vasudha Foundation has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) to advance research and implementation of AgriPV systems in India’s semi-arid regions.
The MoU focuses on integrating solar energy with agriculture through joint research, digital and micro-climate monitoring, pilot demonstrations, and evidence-based policy inputs. The collaboration will assess impacts on crop productivity, water savings, land-use efficiency, and farmer livelihoods, while supporting capacity-building and AgriPV business models.
By bringing together ICRISAT’s agricultural research platforms and Vasudha Foundation’s technical and policy expertise on energy transition, the partnership aims to inform state and national programmes with robust, field-level evidence.
