Location: Bhubaneshwar

Purpose of the Role:

• Strengthen and expand Vasudha Foundation’s work in the renewable energy and power sector through research and analysis of RE-related policies, regulations, and implementation challenges, with a strong understanding of the electricity system, including power markets and distribution utilities.
• Design and deliver trainings on key facets of renewable energy.
• Develop new concepts and program ideas in the RE and energy transition space and work closely with multiple stakeholders such as DISCOMs, regulators, policymakers, and industry actors.

Responsibilities:

1. Project implementation:

• Effectively execute the assigned projects ensuring quality and timeliness, and coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Review, analyze and draft policy, regulatory, and scheme documents related to the renewable energy vertical. 
• Support the Clean Energy team on energy and electricity sector research and analysis which includes and is not limited to Rooftop solar, utility-scale solar, floating solar, energy access, Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE), decarbonising agriculture, solar-based cold storage, scaling renewables among specific consumer categories, and investment trends amongst others. 
• Travelling within the state and to remote locations as and when required.
• Attending meetings with government stakeholders and preparing presentations and reports based on the required analysis.
• Any other assignment in the power sector that the senior management may deem necessary for achieving organisational objectives.

2. Networking / Meetings and Conferences:

• Represent Vasudha Foundation in various external events and meetings, whether it is project-related meetings or other events in the energy space.
• Field visits and Community Interactions.

3. Qualification and Requirements:

• Masters in Engineering / Energy-related discipline or developmental studies
• Minimum 5 years of experience out of which 3 years of relevant experience in renewable energy.

4. Remuneration: 

• The candidate will be based out in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.
• Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
