Project Brief

This project in Maharashtra aims to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the EV landscape within the state. Our objective is to identify areas for improvement, assess infrastructure readiness, and evaluate policy frameworks. The project involves engaging with key stakeholders, including government agencies, businesses, and local communities. Through on-the-ground experiences and interactions, we seek to gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in the EV sector in Maharashtra. This project will contribute to the development of strategies for enhancing electric mobility, fostering sustainable practices, and supporting the state’s transition towards a greener transportation ecosystem.

Purpose of the Role

• Support Vasudha Foundation’s work in Maharashtra that includes but is not limited to research and analysis of policies and regulatory issues in the electric mobility space.
• Coordinate with the State nodal agency and other key stakeholders and function as Vasudha Foundation’s point person in implementing the project.

Research and Writing

• Understand and keep tabs on electric mobility-related regulations and State-level EV policies
• Analyse large and high-frequency datasets to draw useful insights for the team and other stakeholders
• Assist in the stakeholder engagement strategy, identifying and prioritizing key external stakeholders like government representatives, NGOs, consumer associations, knowledge partners, etc.
• Generate knowledge content through blogs and policy briefs and prepare presentations, fact sheets, and other research communication material
• Undertake Intra-State travel to conduct interviews, collect data, and other engagements as required by the project.

Networking

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key project stakeholders including Government Departments/ Ministries/Agencies, local administration, CSOs, NGOs, and academia as per project requirements
• Regular interaction with key stakeholders (including community) directly or indirectly for data collection

Meetings & Conferences

• Coordinating with team and stakeholders to organize meetings and conferences as per project requirement.
• Participate, and create meeting briefs, press releases etc.
• Provide support in stakeholder engagement through field visits, community engagement, and focus group discussions

Applicant Profile

• Minimum qualifications include a BTech or Masters degree in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Engineering or Environmental Sciences, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (5 years for Senior Consultants) in the energy, climate, or sustainable development field. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience specifically in the electric mobility domain within the total years of experience.
• Candidate must be able to work well in a team and have good communication skills
• Candidate must have good analytical skills and data handling capability

Remuneration: Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
