The Kerala GHG inventory report provides a comprehensive overview of the anthropogenic Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions of the State, developed as a baseline for climate change mitigation actions and also with an aim for priority policy aid. The report is part of the implementation blueprint for the State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC 2.0), commissioned by the State in 2022. The assessment for this inventory is based on the IPCC methodology and guidelines (IPCC, 2006; IPCC, 2019) covering Energy, IPPU (Industrial Processes and Product Use), Agriculture, Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) and Waste sectors, accounting for CO₂, CH₄ and N₂O emissions.
