Position Overview:

The Technology Lead – Manager/Senior Manager will be a key member of the senior programme team,  responsible for driving the technological vision of Vasudha Foundation. The Technology lead will lead the development and implementation of technology strategies that support the organisation’s mission, enhance operational efficiency, and foster innovation. 

This role requires a visionary thinker with a strong background in technology, a passion for sustainability, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: 
• Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the foundation’s goals and mission.
• Collaborate with the senior team to identify and prioritize technology initiatives.

• Technology Development and Implementation:

• Oversee the development, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of technology solutions.

• Lead the adoption of new technologies that enhance program delivery, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
• Manage sandbox environments to rapidly prototype, test, and scale innovative solutions

• Team Building and Leadership:

• Build a  technology team at Vasudha, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and continuous learning.

• Hands-On Technical Leadership:
• Think strategically while being hands-on enough to architect and implement solutions when needed.
• Understand, analyse, and make decisions around build vs. buy tradeoffs.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage with external stakeholders, such as government officials and peer collaborators, leading technical discussions and building key relationships.
• Represent Vasudha Foundation in technology forums, conferences, and networks to advocate for sustainable tech practices.

• Vendor and Relationship Management:

• Manage new and existing vendor relationships, maintaining the right balance of quality, timely delivery, and costs.
• Engage with external partners, donors, and stakeholders to leverage technology for collaborative initiatives.

• Policy and Governance:

• Create and implement data governance policies to ensure data integrity and security.
• Set and implement organization IT policies that support operational excellence and compliance.

Vasudha Foundation is primarily looking for a passionate Information Technology/ Digital systems and data driven  expert who has the passion to leverage Information Technology with a bouquet of tech solutions in building a high performing work environment  at Vasudha Foundation and enhancing its work in the Clean Energy and Climate Space.

Qualifications:

• Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-10  years of experience in technology roles
• Proven track record of developing and implementing technology strategies and solutions.

• Technical Skills:

• Strong experience in data management systems, data analytics, and data visualization.
• Strong experience in web development.

• Leadership and Communication:

• Strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
