Vasudha Foundation served as the knowledge partner for the UP Energy Expo 2026, contributing to key conversations on the renewable energy transition, rooftop solar adoption, electric mobility, and policy implementation in Uttar Pradesh.
We also curated two important panel discussions: Panel 6 on the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, “PM Surya Ghar and Beyond: Scaling India’s Rooftop Solar Future,” and Panel 10 on EV charging infrastructure, “Powering EV Adoption in Uttar Pradesh: Public and Residential Charging Ecosystems.”
The rooftop solar session highlighted the progress made under PMSGY in Uttar Pradesh, while also underscoring the need to strengthen vendor capacity for hybrid systems, clarify the processes for RWAs and GHSs, and deepen awareness around quality, operations, and maintenance amongst consumers, and more. The EV charging session focused on Uttar Pradesh’s leadership in the PM E-Drive scheme, the importance of site verification based on the defined parameters, and the need for CPOs to prioritise reliability, uptime, and utilisation. It also drew attention to the challenges of residential charging, especially for lower-income households that depend on EVs for their livelihoods, including voltage fluctuations, poor earthing, and overloaded wiring.
In recognition of its continued support in advancing the state’s solar and EV policy agenda, Vasudha Foundation was felicitated during the event for its valuable contribution.
