Karnataka has been steadily advancing climate action through strong policy frameworks, renewable energy expansion, heat action planning, and a growing focus on local-level resilience and mitigation. Building on this momentum, we’re thrilled to share that Vasudha Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute, Department of Forest, Environment and Ecology, Government of Karnataka – the State nodal agency for climate change to develop district-level GHG inventories and provide strategic support for mitigation planning.
This collaboration lays a strong foundation for evidence-based, decentralised climate action, strengthening local decision-making and translating state-level ambition into district-level outcomes.
